Student Review: "The teaching plan at Cornell University was fantabulous – both in its academic challenges and its applied skill opportunities provided. The classroom courses were extremely valuable for they provided me with a solid foundation, not merely for adolescent education simply besides for young developed education. Certain required classes had over 200 students and therefore made it difficult to found a connection with the professor. Student Review: "Cornell University is located in the beautiful metropolis of Ithaca. Surrounded by Cayuga Lake, a part of the finger lakes region, the campus stands tall atop a towering hill. With older, Gothic-style buildings mixed with more mod structures, the campus conveys a true "college campus" feel for its students. While I enjoyed the vast bulk of my experience at Cornell, I found its large class sizes to be difficult at times. This made information technology difficult to establish a connexion with the professor and intimidating at times to inquire questions. The social life and extracurricular activities are plentiful and I made lifelong friends during my fourth dimension there. Even so, due to the construction of new buildings and parking lots in more than recent years, the campus has had more dusty/off-limit areas and trees are disappearing. Educatee Review: "Attending Niagara University for teacher training was an feel which I would give mixed reviews. I enjoyed the fact that they kept our entire class of 40 students linked together in a cohort, as we were accelerating through our caste. This allowed me to link with the people who I knew I would piece of work well with. I likewise liked the relatively small class sizes. The campus is cute and there is a lot to do. I also institute tuition for this private institution to exist reasonable. Unfortunately, considering our program was different from the traditional instructor prep program, all of our instructors were contingent (offshoot) faculty and did not really have whatever stake in whether we were successful or not. They had very niggling bodily involvement in the campus; rather they were focused on the advancement of their ain career. The assignments which they gave were more often than not impractical and dealt with the theory of teaching, rather than providing real-globe examples of how the theory would play out. The program as well needed to do a better job at screening cooperating teachers for the 14-calendar week educatee instruction placement. When I had a miserable cooperating teacher, who in my opinion was in it for her own personal gain, they did non respond with a new placement. Thus, I had to endure 7 weeks working with a woman who was verbally calumniating to not only me but her students also. I would recommend Niagara University's teacher prep program only in a traditional program. I where the program is taught by full-time kinesthesia, rather than contingent faculty. Student Review: "Stony Beck University offers a neat Masters in Education program. I had majored in English and wanted to pursue it. We had groovy teachers, but the workload was intense.
